Student Council
Student Council is a curricular or extracurricular activity for students within elementary and secondary schools around the world. These councils are present in most public and private K-12 school systems across the United States, Canada, Australia and Asia. Student councils often serve to engage students in learning about democracy and leadership.
Two students from each third, fourth, and fifth-grade classrooms interested in Student Council are selected through a process led by their respective teachers. Every month student council meets with Mrs. O'Leary and Ms. Gooel to discuss and plan ways to help our community! They plan spirit days, lead an all-school food drive, publish the King Council News, participate in renewing our Green Schools status, asking the student body for input to improve our school and other various activities.
