When to keep a child home:
Please review the AAPS When to Keep a Child Home for common childhood illnesses that a student should remain at home for and when the school should return to school.
Please be sure to let the school know if your student is ill or has been diagnosed with any communicable disease when they are missing school for illness. The absence emails are reviewed by the nurse to monitor the King School Community and can help to minimize the spread of illness when the nurse is made aware of illnesses spreading in our schools. If you prefer to email the nurse directly, please email watsonn@aaps.k12.mi.us.
